Job Title: Contracts Manager (Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC Projects)

Location: Office-Based with UK-Wide Travel

Salary: Up to £55,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance

My client is a dynamic Main Contractor specialising in fit-out, refurbishment, and building services across commercial, and specialist environments. With growing demand for Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC installations, they deliver projects ranging from £10K to £1.8M—with a typical project around £100K—involving complex building services integrations.

Role Overview

This Contracts Manager position plays a critical role in delivering building services-led projects alongside a Senior Contracts Manager. Ideal for someone experienced in M&E or HVAC contracting, you’ll oversee multiple projects nationally from mobilisation through to client handover—ensuring technical delivery, operational safety, and commercial success.

You’ll be site-active with a strong grasp of mechanical and electrical systems, and a commitment to maintaining programme and compliance standards. Travel across the UK is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver mechanical, electrical, and HVAC-focused fit-out and refurbishment projects from start to completion.

Manage subcontractor coordination across MEP packages to meet programme milestones and quality benchmarks.

Liaise with clients, consultants, site teams, and specialist suppliers to ensure seamless service integration.

Attend technical site meetings and inspections; resolve MEP-related installation issues.

Ensure full Health & Safety compliance with a strong focus on services installation (e.g. RAMS for M&E works, plant movement safety).

Monitor services commissioning and assist in testing, witnessing, and final certification.

Collaborate with Commercial and Estimating teams on MEP valuations, variations, and procurement decisions.

Champion value engineering in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC scopes.
