Job description

The posting describes leading the establishment and delivery of the contract management function across a major health programme, supporting the award and administration of NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contracts under what the employer calls the H2A Alliance.

The named duties include leading the contract formation process for NEC4 ECC call‑offs, covering due diligence, onboarding and governance setup, and supporting the establishment of the alliance and ECC contract management operating strategy.

The holder supports NHS Trusts in contract readiness and execution so that they align with alliance principles and programme objectives, and develops and implements contract management systems, tools and documents that comply with the contract and alliance requirements and give consistent reporting across all alliance members. Performance regimes are defined and managed, including performance indicators and intervention protocols.

The holder acts as the senior interface between the programme, the Trusts, contractors and the cost and project managers on contractual matters while the operating strategy is established, and delivers structured training on the NEC4 ECC and alliance contracts where required.

The employer asks for extensive NEC4 ECC contract management experience, a record in major programme delivery, ideally in alliance contracting environments, experience of performance and incentive model development, and understanding of public sector procurement and contract governance. Health sector experience is described as desirable but not essential. No salary figure is published.
