Job description

The Leicestershire College is seeking an experienced Governance and Contracts Manager to lead a small team, reporting to the Director of Governance & Legal Services.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the tracking, monitoring, and compliance of all college contracted provisions, including subcontracting-in, subcontracting-out, all commercial contracts, HE, International, and Apprenticeship contracts.

The successful candidate will also manage the newly merged team that handles complaints, appeals, and data protection issues, supporting the College’s governance functions.

Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, be target-driven, and self-motivated. A detailed knowledge of operational and legal contracting activities is essential, as the role involves interpreting specialized data and problem-solving daily. Experience with Further Education subcontracting rules will be advantageous.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required to work effectively with staff at all levels of the College.
