Job description

The Leicestershire College is seeking an experienced Governance and Contracts Manager to lead a small team, reporting to the Director of Governance & Legal Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tracking, monitoring, and compliance of all college 'contracted' provisions, including subcontracting-in, subcontracting-out, all commercial contracts, HE, International, and Apprenticeship contracts.

Additionally, they will manage the newly merged team handling complaints, appeals, and data protection issues, while supporting the College's governance functions.

Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills, be target-driven, and self-motivated. A detailed knowledge of operational and legal contracting activities is essential, as the role involves interpreting specialised data and problem-solving daily. Experience with Further Education subcontracting rules will be advantageous.

The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work closely with staff at all levels.
