Are you an experienced bid manager looking to take the lead on high-value contracts in the healthcare sector? A leading medical wholesaler is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Bid Manager to drive their tendering process and help grow their presence across both public and private healthcare markets.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected, fast-growing organisation and play a key role in securing major contracts that directly support healthcare services across the UK.

About The Company And Role

Our client is a trusted supplier of high-quality medical products to NHS trusts, private healthcare providers, and government bodies across the UK. Renowned for their commitment to compliance, quality, and tailored solutions, they are looking for someone who can take ownership of the end-to-end tendering process.

As Contracts Bid Manager, you will manage tender submissions, framework agreements, and contribute to commercial strategy. You'll work closely with sales, finance, procurement, and compliance teams to refine bidding processes and improve success rates. While experience with NHS tenders would be a significant advantage, the key requirement is the ability to lead complex bids, think strategically, and produce compelling, high-quality submissions.

Key Responsibilities
Tender & Framework Management
  1. Identify and assess new tender opportunities across healthcare markets
  2. Maintain a detailed tracker of deadlines, renewals, and compliance requirements
  3. Lead internal bid planning meetings and coordinate input from relevant teams
  4. Ensure timely, accurate, and compelling submissions tailored to buyer expectations

Bid Process Improvement
  1. Create and maintain a central library of standard responses and supporting materials
  2. Analyse previous tenders to identify improvements and enhance future submissions
  3. Gather and implement feedback post-submission to strengthen future bids

Framework and Contract Oversight
  1. Manage the renewal and maintenance of framework agreements
  2. Build strong working relationships with procurement teams to support future growth

Commercial & Pricing Strategy
  1. Work alongside finance and sales teams to develop competitive, profitable pricing models
  2. Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing decisions

Compliance & Documentation
  1. Maintain accurate records of regulatory documentation (e.g. CE marking, MHRA approvals)
  2. Ensure all tender submissions meet relevant industry and regulatory standards

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  1. Demonstrable experience in bid or contract management within a regulated industry
  2. Excellent organisational and project management skills
  3. Strong written communication abilities and a keen eye for detail
  4. Confident navigating procurement portals and managing submission documents
  5. Previous experience with NHS tenders and procurement is highly desirable, but not essential

Benefits
What's on Offer
  1. Competitive Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  2. Profit Share Bonus: Additional earnings linked to company performance
  3. Complimentary Lunches: Free lunches provided daily
  4. Career Progression: Clear pathways for professional growth and development
