We are seeking a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law. This role offers an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills through varied and quality work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers, providing proactive legal advice on issues such as Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will manage a full and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers will play an active role in team management and deputise for the Principal Solicitor, contributing to the delivery of first-class legal services.

The role is hybrid; remote work will be considered. Occasional office attendance may be required, and the candidate will need to collect their laptop from our Reigate office on the first day.
The role includes managing a team of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
You will contribute to the wider management of Legal Services and exemplify the council's values and behaviors.
You will manage a varied caseload and deliver innovative solutions with minimal supervision.
The role involves supporting and delivering legal work, including advocacy, and assisting the Monitoring Officer with legal and procedural compliance issues.
You will also contribute to staff training within the Council to keep them updated on legal issues.
