Job summary

QED Legal LLP is seeking a Contracts Advisor in its national Risk & Compliance function. The role is hybrid and UK-wide, offering exposure to commercial contracts, legal risk and regulatory compliance across client and supplier agreements.

You will work with Partners and senior stakeholders to provide practical, commercially focused advice and develop contract precedents and playbooks to support governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating client engagement terms and supplier contracts.
• Ability to identify and manage regulatory and commercial risks within contracts.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders and navigating approval processes.
• Excellent drafting, review and negotiation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate client engagement terms, contracts and agreements.
• Advise on outside counsel guidelines, panel terms and standard terms of business.
• Identify and assess legal, regulatory and commercial risks in contracts.
• Support approvals and advise on departures from standard positions.
• Collaborate with Procurement on supplier contracts and service terms.
• Provide practical, commercially focused contract and compliance guidance.
