About the Role

This is a senior-level opportunity for a legally qualified professional or experienced contracts specialist to join our Contracts & Licensing Department in our Guildford office. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional legal practice and make a real commercial impact — advising on, negotiating, and managing complex international B2B software licensing and services agreements. As part of the team, you will work closely with your colleagues to ensure the provision of an efficient and quality contractual service to our clients in 90 countries around the world. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on collaboration, continuous improvement, and being part of a business that values operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Drafting and negotiating international B2B client contracts

• Advising on contractual terms, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies

• Collaborating on complex tender submissions, aligned with our contracting principles

• Maintaining and evolving internal contract templates to ensure consistency and compliance

• Mentoring colleagues on contract review, negotiation, and best practices

• Acting as a key point of contact for clients (typically via email and Microsoft Teams)

• Staying informed on legal developments to ensure our practices stay relevant and fit for purpose

• Offering ad hoc support to clients and colleagues to help meet shared goals

Qualifications

You will need:

  • A legal qualification (or substantial experience in commercial/contracts roles)
  • 5+ years of experience with commercial contracts, ideally B2B and international
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to balance legal, commercial, and client needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an enthusiasm for mentoring and sharing your knowledge
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to help clients and colleagues achieve success
