Job Summary

The Commercial Officer will provide commercial expertise and support to the specific customer local team. Responsibilities include managing and resolving commercial issues, supporting bids and proposals, and informing Program IPTs of contractual obligations. The role is the first point of escalation for customer purchase order or contractual issues internally and from customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Interface with IPT and customers regarding contractual obligations and limits.
  • Support new bidding activities, including business model and commercial proposal compilation.
  • Manage and maintain the company order book to reflect customer purchase requirements.
  • Maintain commercial/contractual correspondence files.
  • Maintain key performance metrics and contribute to internal reporting.
  • Support change negotiations with customers.
  • Ensure overdue debt is minimized and payments are made per terms.
  • Support project review structures, reports, data, and demand changes in line with contractual conditions.
  • Manage opportunities to improve the business case.
  • Adhere to program management and commercial standards and contribute to process development.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing contracts role in manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing contracts role, preferably in aerospace.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in aerospace highly preferred.
  • Ability to perform work under FAR regulations and program requirements.
  • Strong organizational, customer relations, multitasking, and team skills.
  • Ability to analyze contracts and identify potential issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Project management experience with multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail and structured working approach.
  • Self-motivated and supportive.
  • Experience with aerospace components.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to compile and present executive-level presentations.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Proven customer interface and communication experience.
