Job Summary

The Commercial Officer will provide commercial expertise and support to the local customer team. Responsibilities include managing commercial issues, supporting bids and proposals, and ensuring contractual obligations are met. The role involves being the first point of escalation for customer purchase order or contractual issues.

Job Responsibilities
  • Interface with IPT and customers regarding contractual obligations.
  • Support new bidding activities, including business modeling and proposals.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s order book according to customer purchase orders.
  • Maintain contractual correspondence files.
  • Track and report key performance metrics.
  • Negotiate changes with customers.
  • Ensure timely payment from customers and minimize overdue debt.
  • Support project reviews, demand changes, and contractual compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Adhere to program management and commercial standards and contribute to process improvements.
Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing contracts role within manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in aerospace.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace industry highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAR regulations and program requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to analyze contracts and identify potential issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Project management experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
  • Experience with aerospace components.
  • Basic understanding of accounting.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Proven customer interface skills.
