Scope

We are seeking an analytical and proactive Contract Administrator to support the commercial management of a major transformation programme. This role will provide dedicated operational support to the commercial function, ensuring contractual obligations, governance requirements, compliance activities, and commercial records are managed effectively and consistently.

Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will act as a key interface between programme delivery teams, suppliers, and commercial stakeholders. You will be responsible for maintaining robust contract management controls, monitoring contractual compliance, supporting governance activities, and escalating contractual or commercial risks where appropriate.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. You will contribute to the successful management of contracts with values ranging from £10m-£20m and support supplier engagement, contractual governance, compliance monitoring, and commercial reporting activities. The role requires sound judgement, a logical approach to problem solving, and the confidence to identify and elevate risks and issues appropriately.

  • Coordinate review and approval processes for contractual notices, correspondence, and commercial documentation.
  • Draft, proofread, and manage formal contractual and business communications.
  • Produce contract summaries, briefing notes, and management information reports.
  • Support the collection and analysis of information required for commercial assessments and decision-making.
  • Assist with contract change control, governance processes, and commercial reporting activities.
  • Gather evidence and supporting documentation relating to contractual issues and disputes where required.
