Job summary

British Gas is seeking an experienced White Goods Engineer (Contractor) to join our engineering community. You will attend customers' homes to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of kitchen and white goods appliances, while representing the British Gas brand in a professional manner.

You’ll work independently in the field with access to strong operational, managerial and technical support, handling tasks from routine maintenance to more complex repairs on items such as washing machines,

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' proven, hands-on experience repairing white goods appliances.
• Broad technical knowledge across multiple appliance types.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Commitment to safe working and first-time-fix outcomes.
• Pride in workmanship and professionalism in customers' homes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of kitchen and white goods appliances.
• Work independently in the field representing the British Gas brand in customers' homes.
• Access to strong operational, managerial and technical support when needed.
• Some repairs can be complex; require confidence, calm and professional approach.
• Typical appliances include Washing machines, Tumble dryers, Dishwashers, Refrigeration and Microwaves.
