The Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Contractor Manager. You’ll support the implementation and coordination of contractor solutions across our delivery network. This dynamic role involves working closely with internal teams to help manage contractor performance, support planning activities, and contribute to service and cost improvements. As a Contractor Manager you’ll be detail-oriented and proactive, working with regional teams as part of our Delivery network.

  • Assist in sourcing and onboarding contractors in line with company policies and procurement processes.
  • Help monitor contractor performance using key metrics such as CSAT, ETA, and delivery speed.
  • Support efforts to review and optimise contractor costs, including gathering data for rate reviews and identifying potential savings.
  • Use performance reports to help identify underperformance and support improvement actions.
  • Work with regional and area delivery teams to support planning for peak periods and ensure contractor capacity aligns with volume forecasts.

We are looking for:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • A management qualification (Level 5 or equivalent) is a plus but not essential.
  • Experience of business improvement e.g. reviewing activities and cases to understand and share key learnings with the business.
  • Experience working in logistics, operations, or a similar environment.
  • Comfortable working with data and performance metrics.
