Role Description
Are you a skilled email marketing specialist with a passion for ecommerce and a knack for customer retention?
We’re a fast-growing Shopify ecommerce agency looking for a contractor marketing specialist to take ownership of our client retention services (Charle Retain). You’ll be responsible for creating, setting up, and optimising high-performing email and SMS marketing flows and templates using platforms like Klaviyo and Mailchimp, depending on client needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Designing and implementing email and SMS marketing flows and automations (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back, post-purchase).
• Creating visually engaging and brand-aligned email templates.
• Monitoring performance metrics (open rates, CTRs, conversions) and making data-driven optimisations.
• Collaborating with internal teams and clients to align email strategy with broader ecommerce goals.
• Ensuring consistent brand voice and design across all email content.
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience with Klaviyo and/or Mailchimp, especially in ecommerce and Shopify environments.
• Deep understanding of retention marketing principles and customer lifecycle strategies.
• Strong copywriting and design sensibility.
• Analytical mindset – comfortable with metrics, reporting, and A/B testing.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and time management skills.
• Availability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously on a flexible contract basis.
Bonus Points For
• Experience working with a Shopify agency or ecommerce brands.
• Familiarity with SMS marketing or other retention channels.
• Ability to advise on list segmentation and deliverability best practices.
