Job Opportunity: Contract Support Officer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Contract Management Service for a motivated and experienced Contract Support Officer to join the Adult Social Care Contract Management Team. We are looking for an individual with knowledge of Adult Social Care Services, some contract management experience, and excellent communication skills.

The role involves supporting the development and delivery of best practices for complex contractual arrangements for the Council’s portfolio of Adult Social Care Contracts, through active engagement with key stakeholders.

You will ensure that the Adult Social Care Contracts meet their contract delivery objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will regularly communicate and consult with a range of key stakeholders both internal and external. Additionally, you will ensure value for money through effective contract monitoring and handle issues in line with the escalation procedures outlined in the contracts.

Candidate Requirements
  • Relevant experience of contract management practice, contract law, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, ideally in a commercial setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations and individuals.
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to work logically and systematically.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information

The role is based in City Hall with the option to work from home.
