We're working with an exciting company in Manchester that is scaling its internal development team and needs a Senior Contract Developer with strong React and JavaScript expertise to make an immediate impact.
This is a remote-first, outside IR35 role with a product-focused business undergoing a major digital transformation.
- Leading the frontend delivery of a headless React architecture
- Supporting localisation and rebuilding core platform components
- Advising on frontend best practices and future team structure
- Collaborating with the Head of Dev and external consultancy partners
- Frontend: JavaScript (ES6+), React, Next.js, Redux/Context API, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs / GraphQL
- DevOps: AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway), Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Other Tools: GitHub, Jira, Agile, Jest, React Testing Library
- Nice to have: Headless CMS (e.g., Contentful, Sanity), React Native
- Deep experience with JavaScript and React
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects
- Previous contract experience in fast-moving product environments
- Outside IR35
- Initial 6-month contract
- Remote-first (office presence only if necessary)
