Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Contract Senior SAP Developer to join a major transformation programme in the financial services sector. You will focus on SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, SAP Data Services (BODS) and data integration within a large, enterprise environment.

This 6-month contract offers £500–£550 per day Outside IR35, with hybrid working in Leeds City Centre requiring 2/3 days on-site each week. You will collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver robust SAP solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior SAP Developer with extensive enterprise experience.
• Strong SAP ABAP development, ideally with S/4HANA experience.
• Hands-on SAP Data Services (BODS) ETL and data integration experience.
• Experience with SAP HANA databases, data modelling and performance tuning.
• Proven track record delivering SAP development in large transformation programmes.
• Understanding of SAP architecture and system integration.

We’re looking for an experienced Contract Senior SAP Developer to join a major technology and digital transformation programme within the financial services sector.

This is an initial 6-month contract, offering £500 – £550 per day Outside IR35, requiring 2/3 days per week on-site in Leeds City Centre.

You’ll be working across a range of business-critical SAP development and transformation initiatives, with a particular focus on SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, SAP Data Services (BODS), ETL processes and enterprise data integration.

The role will involve working closely with technical teams, architects and business stakeholders to develop, enhance and integrate SAP solutions within a complex enterprise environment, supporting wider technology modernisation and transformation projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Developing and enhancing SAP solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment

• Working across SAP transformation programmes, including S/4HANA and platform upgrades

• Designing, developing and supporting data integration pipelines using SAP Data Services (BODS)

• Supporting ETL processes, data migration and transformation across multiple systems

• Working with SAP HANA database environments, including data modelling and performance optimisation

• Supporting the integration of SAP solutions with wider enterprise platforms and applications

• Collaborating with developers, architects and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions

• Identifying opportunities for system improvements, automation and performance enhancements

• Troubleshooting technical issues and supporting ongoing SAP system development

• Contributing to successful project delivery within a fast-paced transformation environment

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior SAP Developer within complex enterprise environments

• Strong SAP ABAP development experience, ideally including SAP S/4HANA

• Hands-on experience with SAP Data Services (BODS), particularly ETL and data integration

• Experience working with SAP HANA databases, including data modelling, optimisation or database-level development

• Proven experience delivering SAP development work across large-scale transformation or integration programmes

• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, system integration and enterprise applications

• Experience supporting data migration, data transformation and complex integration requirements

• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot technical challenges and contribute quickly within established delivery teams

• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with technical and business stakeholders

• Previous experience within financial services, banking or similarly regulated environments would be beneficial
