Job description

Leading IT Services business seeks an experienced SAP (MM/PUR) Consultant to work on site with their global manufacturing client in Derby. This is an initial 9 month contract and it is a requirement of the role that the SAP Consultant is (SC) cleared and it would be highly advantageous if existing SC Clearance can be ported to this role. The rate available for this contract is up to £470 per day.

Responsibilities

• Business requirements review and identification of both business and solution improvements.
• High level and detailed MM Purchasing design
• System build including detailed MM Purchasing configuration
• Supporting customers in the definition of new job roles and in changes to existing job roles.
• Education of Superusers
• Workshop facilitation and leadership
• Definition of functionality extensions, interfaces into and out of MM
• Unit and Integration Testing
• Support definition and delivery of data migration.
• Support definition and delivery of implementation cut-over activities.

Profile

• 5 to 10 years SAP MM/Purchasing experience
• Full life cycles experience of: high-level and detailed design, testing, super-user education, go live preparation, handover to support
• Knowledge of SAP Logistics Organisation Structure Design
• Knowledge of SAP Sourcing, Material Master, Supplier Master, Requisitioning, Purchase Order Management, MRP-driven Requirements, Vendor Assessment, Logistics Invoice Verification, Inventory Movements, Stock Types and Stock Ownership, Project driven requirements, Project valuated stock.
• Knowledge of detailed system configuration. Ability to use this knowledge to define the high-level and detailed design options.
• Experience of integrating SAP MM/PUR into other areas of SAP logistics and into SAP FICO.
• Experience of definition of MM/PUR functionality extension and definition of interfacing requirements to non-SAP systems.
• Experience of testing of functionality extensions and interfaces.
• Experience of ERP6.
• Experience of the application of SAP MM/PUR in a manufacturing, engineering or process environment.
