Job summary

Jersey Registry is seeking a temporary Registry Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support operational activities within a regulated environment. The role is full-time (35 hours/week) and reports to the Registry Manager, working with a team of Registry Assistants and Managers.

You will review business incorporation submissions for accuracy, conduct AML/CFT due diligence, identify risks, and contribute to deterring financial crime to uphold Jersey's well-regulated standing.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage a high workload is required.
• Experience in financial services is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective customer service to Registry users via telephone, email, and portal.
• Review and assess business incorporation submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct due diligence checks on significant persons per AML/CFT/CPF regulations.
• Evaluate the purpose of business incorporations in line with the Sound Business Practice Policy.
• Track and record issues or higher-risk factors and seek clarification as needed.
• Escalate identified risks to relevant teams within the organization.
• Develop knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to AML/CFT/CPF and their application.
• Work in accordance with published service level agreements.
