Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group is seeking a Contract PSV Engineer for ongoing opportunities across the UK. You will perform repairs, maintenance and diagnostics to DVSA standards, with emphasis on vehicle systems.

The role requires a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent, NVQ Level 3 and around 5 years of workshop experience. Training and development opportunities are available.

Weekly wages are paid and roles vary in duration; local and national contracts may be available.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or proven work history.
• City and Guilds / NVQ level 3 minimum.
• 5 years’ workshop experience in similar roles.
• Additional qualifications in diagnostics, electrical/mechanical repair and welding advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance to DVSA standards.
• Diagnostics and repair of mechanical faults (steering, brakes, driveline).
• Diagnostics and repair of electrical and body systems using diagnostic tools.
• Routine inspection and servicing to maintain roadworthiness and MOT standards.
• Major unit changes and repairs where applicable.
• Complete paperwork including service sheets to a high standard.
• Adhere to site health and safety requirements and customer SOPs.
