Job Title: Contract Project Manager - Engineering / Manufacturing

Position Details

Hours: Monday – Friday (Early finish Friday)

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 6 months

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Project Manager experienced in managing New Product Development Projects (NPD / NPI) to support multiple concurrent projects of varying sizes and complexities. Join a team of bright, highly motivated multi-disciplinary engineers during an exciting period of development within our business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate several new product development projects from inception to completion, ensuring key budget, milestone, and performance targets are achieved.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across manufacturing, engineering/R&D, supply chain, and quality to meet project milestones at each stage/gate.
• Oversee technical performance, planning, control, process improvements, safety, reliability, and procedural adherence.
• Support a highly skilled team of R&D and NPI manufacturing engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a talented HND / degree-qualified engineer or have relevant experience in a related engineering discipline (mechanical, electro-mechanical, etc.), with:

• Proven experience managing complex manufacturing and NPD/NPI projects within an engineering environment.
• Excellent influencing and presentation skills for a high-visibility role.
• Technical background in engineering/R&D.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical, aerospace, automotive, or similar.
• Project management expertise, preferably with Microsoft Project, MS Project, Prince2, APMP, or similar methodologies.

Additional Details

This role is inside IR35 and will be working on a PAYE basis.
