Job description

Spectrum IT's London client is looking to recruit a Contract Product Information Management (PIM) Lead for an initial 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite in London per week (2 days remote), and it is via umbrella engagement (Inside IR35).

The role involves working across multiple brands and supporting a global project to review and optimise processes for managing and sharing online product data with our partners, including the implementation of a new product management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document regional process workflows for the company's website product data and current processes with partners. Identify areas for improvement and make actionable recommendations to streamline workflows and increase speed to market for new product launches.
  • Support the creation and updating of product launch templates for partners and establish efficient processes to minimise manual work.
  • Support content syndication to retail partners and channels, including product content, attributes, images, videos, and enhanced content.
  • Create, track, and report on the status of product data and launches.
  • Develop new processes for product data management with retailers and internally.
  • Validate that mandatory product data across core systems are complete and accurate.
  • Identify new attributes, build technical requirements, and work with global technical and product teams to implement data model changes.
  • Maintain region-specific documentation related to product and image setup.
  • Gather regional requirements for the PIM solution based on internal processes and stakeholder needs.
  • Act as a key contact for product data and the PIM solution, working with global and regional teams to drive improvements.
  • Support establishing and localising governance on online processes and data models.
  • Review and recommend improvements for product attributes and catalogue hierarchy to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with UK and global project teams to support onboarding of the new product management system and manage the transition.
  • Work with business tool specialists and trainers to organise training plans for UK teams, supporting their transition to the new system.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems; experience with InRiver is highly beneficial.
  • Experience managing projects related to business-facing content or data tools.
  • Previous experience in PIM implementation.
  • Good understanding of product attribution, taxonomy development, and their impact on SEO and product feeds.
  • Ability to use multiple tools for data stewardship.
  • Experience working with multi-brand/stakeholder businesses.
  • Excellent communication skills for both business and technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly collaborative and energetic, with a proven ability to work in team environments.
