Contract PMO Lead - Digital Projects

Are you an experienced PMO Lead interested in working with a major utility company in Belfast?

Have you got experience driving great project governance across multiple programmes?

Client

VANRATH are partnered with a large Utility organisation requiring a PMO Lead. The PMO function oversees 7 Digital Programmes and plays a key role in ensuring the highest standard of project governance.

Projects:

Digital Projects including Data, ERP Replacement, HR/ Payroll systems & Telephony

Responsibilities:

  • Providing a structured approach to the management of large-scale programmes.
  • Driving on risks & issues, project dependencies, project reporting, board meetings, meeting minutes and resolutions.
  • Providing objective challenge, support, and expertise in the pursuit of increased value through programme and project delivery.
  • Lead on the design of Project Management information systems, in order that colleagues are able to capture, manage and report information efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee the development and management of the systems.
  • Set projects up with clear plans for benefit delivery and support in the delivery and monitoring of delivery and benefits.
  • Drive the engagement of Transformation colleagues to capture and maintain relevant and quality information on the programme & project management information system.
  • Design and implement systems to enable the PMO to accurately report (routinely and ad-hoc) from the information system to service both the upward-reporting and data quality agendas.
  • Support and champion the use of programme & project management resources.

The Ideal Person:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a PMO Lead role within a major organisation;
  • Previous experience utilising a project methodology (e.g. PRINCE 2, or other similar methodology).
