Job summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking a Part-Qualified Group Accountant based in Castleford for a 3-6 month fixed-term contract. You will assist in preparing group financial statements and management accounts, support month-end and year-end reporting, and perform variance analysis.

The role requires ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualification, strong Excel skills, and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Part-qualification in ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of group financial statements and management accounts.
Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
Perform variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial data is maintained.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Support ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.
Help maintain the integrity of financial systems and processes.
