An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Operations Manager at our brand new site in Harworth!

Joining the site management team, the Contract Operations Manager is responsible for delivering and developing the customer contract, ensuring that strategies and business plans are in place to achieve targets, drive business performance, and growth to benefit both the business and customer. The Contract Operations Manager will be customer-centric, thrive under pressure, and motivate and lead the team.

Key Duties

  1. Ensuring all day-to-day operational requirements consistently meet the customers’ expectations.
  2. Exceeding customer key performance measures, holding regular customer reviews, and managing and developing client relationships.
  3. Managing and developing the existing management teams and employee relations.
  4. Developing and implementing new initiatives and projects with the customer.
  5. Promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to deliver best-in-class operations.
  6. Preparing customer annual budgets and working within those financial boundaries whilst delivering improved financial performance.
  7. Managing Health & Safety, Personnel issues, and Facilities across all sites.

Qualifications

  • Ideally educated to degree level with a proven track record within the 3rd Party warehousing and logistics sector, possessing enthusiasm and commitment.
  • A demonstrable track record in managing high-volume, service-driven warehouse operations for FMCG customers.
  • Experience working closely with customers, with examples of relationship improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to converse at all levels including shop floor, senior management, and customers.
  • Successful leadership of teams, with positive personal qualities and attributes.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and commitment, with creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Experience with Open and Closed book contracts, with good numerical and commercial skills.
