The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business management, project and change delivery, and transformation leadership within volume businesses. Responsibilities include managing multiple workstreams, embedding change, and ensuring operational stability and client service excellence during the transition.

This position is based in Bristol and offers a day rate via an Umbrella company. We seek candidates available on no more than a 2-week notice due to the urgency of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Programme Oversight
  • Lead the operational delivery of the MELS transition programme, aligning with strategic objectives and TOM design.
  • Develop and maintain the transition plan and timeline.
  • Identify interim and long-term optimisation strategies.
Business Management & Operational Excellence
  • Review, identify, and implement short-term process improvements to modernise the volume delivery centre.
  • Design long-term transformational improvements to optimise processes for efficiency and productivity, mapping implementation plans.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert, handling enquiries, developing action plans, and supporting communication strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Serve as a liaison between the MELS team, senior leadership, and wider stakeholders.
  • Draft and deliver clear communication and presentation materials.
  • Build strong relationships across the firm to enhance responsiveness and operational alignment.
Essential Experience:
  • Success in a senior business management or operations role, preferably in volume financial services or legal operations.
  • Strong background in project and change management, with experience in large-scale transformation and process optimisation.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and managing cross-functional teams in high-volume settings.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep understanding of volume business operations and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including fee earners and business services teams.
  • Law firm experience is preferred.
