Job summary

National Gas is looking for a Contract Officer to ensure contract value, manage risk, and support successful outcomes across the business. You will work with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to monitor performance, drive improvements, and ensure commitments are met.

Hybrid role with on-site work in Bristol and occasional travel to other sites; experience in NEC contracts and procurement analytics will be highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement analysis or a similar commercial, procurement, or contract management role.
• Experience analysing performance data and developing meaningful KPIs with suppliers or contractors.
• Account, contract, and commercial management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted working relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting information clearly to different audiences.
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including Options A, C, and E.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience managing a portfolio of contracts or suppliers.
• Experience supporting contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Knowledge of supplier performance management frameworks.
• Experience working within a regulated, engineering, infrastructure, or utilities environment.
• Understanding of contract risk management and dispute resolution processes.
