Job summary

A CleanTech innovator in the UK is seeking a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer to produce accurate 3D models and drawings. The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills in Creo and proven experience in detailing to ISO standards. This short-term role offers hybrid working and a competitive rate of £35-40 per hour. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong CAD skills in Creo or ability to pick it up quickly.
• Proven drawing/detailing experience to ISO standards.
• Self-starter who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate 3D models & drawings to ISO standards.
• Taking ownership of work packages and delivering on time.
• Supporting mechanical design team with CAD updates/documentation.
• Designing and detailing test rigs.

Contract Mechanical Design Engineer CleanTech

West Sussex (min. 3 days onsite) 2–month contract ASAP start (latest 1st week Sept)

• 35–40p/h outside IR35.

I m currently supporting a CleanTech innovator who are looking for a Mechanical Designer / CAD Engineer to join them on a contract basis. If you re a Creo pro who thrives on taking ownership of projects and delivering to deadline, this could be a great short–term opportunity.

What you ll be doing as a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Producing accurate 3D models & drawings to ISO standards
• Taking ownership of work packages and delivering on time
• Supporting mechanical design team with CAD updates/documentation
• (Bonus) Designing and detailing test rigs

What we re looking for in the Contract Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Strong CAD skills in Creo (or ability to pick it up quickly)
• Proven drawing/detailing experience to ISO standards
• A self–starter who can work independently
• Available to start immediately or by early September
