Job summary

A well-known company in Northamptonshire is seeking a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer for a 3-month contract. The role involves working in a hybrid model, collaborating with an experienced team on bespoke packaging projects, and assisting with customer queries. Candidates should have experience with Fusion 360 or Solidworks and knowledge in designing flat plastic or sheet metal enclosures. This position is outside of IR35, allowing contractors to operate through a private limited company.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Fusion 360 or Solidworks.
• Previous experience designing flat plastic or sheet metal enclosures.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Assist a highly experienced team with customer projects.
• Handle inbound quotes.
• Work on a hybrid model with at least 2 days on site per week.

Job description

The Redline Group is working in partnership with our Northamptonshire based client to assist them in searching for a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer on a 3 month contract.

Our client is a well-established and well-known business specialising in the design of bespoke packaging.This Contract Mechanical design Engineer position will be working on a hybrid model and you will be expected to come on site at least 2 days a week.

You will be assisting a highly experienced team with their outstanding customer projects as well as any inbounds quotes.

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.
