The Mechanical Design Engineer Role

You'll join a cross-functional team responsible for the concept, design, development and testing of mechanical components and assemblies for use in armoured vehicles and aerospace systems. Using Creo and Windchill, you will take responsibility for everything from concept creation through to design validation, documentation and prototyping.

Mechanical Design Engineer Essential Skills
  • Proven mechanical design experience in defence, aerospace or AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicles)
  • Expert in CREO Parametric CAD
  • Experienced with Windchill PDM systems
  • Familiar with structural/kinematic calculations and mechanical tolerancing
  • Able to design for harsh or safety-critical environments
  • Understanding of materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes
  • Must be a sole UK national (due to security clearance requirements)
  • Must be eligible for SC clearance
