Job summary

AWE is seeking a Contract Manager in Reading to manage post-award contracts within an integrated commercial team. You will turn commitments into delivery, maintaining control of performance, risk, change and records while working with procurement colleagues as needed.

The role focuses on post-award activities, with opportunities to influence commercial outcomes and maintain a robust governance framework across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management and procurement within infrastructure, engineering, or service contracts.
• Ability to administer contracts, monitor performance, risk, and governance with auditable records.
• Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage NEC contracts across the delivery lifecycle with project support.
• Administer notices, records, work orders, variations, payments, forecasts and governance.
• Monitor supplier performance against milestones and KPIs; escalate issues as needed.
• Work with controls, finance, legal and procurement teams on mobilisation, amendments and close-out.
• Contribute to assurance reviews and continuous improvement.
