Job summary

Portakabin Ltd in the GB Healthcare team is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee nationwide projects. The role offers an annual salary up to £67,000 plus a target bonus of up to 10% and a permanent contract with company car.

You’ll travel frequently and support delivery of large modular or construction contracts. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and risk, maintain margins, and build strong customer relationships as the main contact for allocated contracts.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Project management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering large, complex construction or modular projects.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies and processes.
• Strong financial control, cost management, and final accounts negotiation.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and contractors.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills for project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for managing and delivering large or complex contracts safely, on time, and to budget.
• Act as SME in project delivery and share expertise with colleagues.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver contract objectives with clear roles.
• Maintain project margins and cash flow through planning and risk control.
• Produce regular stakeholder reports on progress, costs, and milestones.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and maintain risk register.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and manage variations and disputes.
• Build strong customer relationships as main contact for contracts.
• Support bid and pre-construction activities where required.
• Provide coaching and line management for contract team where applicable.
