Experienced Contracts Manager - with Industrial Roofing experience

Sites include commercial, factory, warehouse, and industrial properties. Projects involve new build, refurbishment, maintenance, and repairs.

About the Job

Manage projects daily to ensure they are run efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with all contract conditions. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and safely.

Key Duties:
  1. Recruit, oversee, and manage subcontractors
  2. Conduct site surveys and measurements
  3. Prepare Risk and Method Statements
  4. Enforce and monitor Health & Safety practices and CDM regulations on site
  5. Produce work programmes
  6. Manage multiple sites simultaneously
  7. Attend contract handovers from estimating
  8. Provide accurate project labour costs, materials, and timelines
  9. Reduce project costs
  10. Understand each project’s specifications
  11. Monitor quality on each site
  12. Participate in regular site meetings with clients, architects, quantity surveyors, planning supervisors, etc.
Qualities and Experience Needed:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience liaising with subcontractors regarding orders for materials, components, plant, and specialist services
Must Have:
  • Site qualifications including CSCS and SMSTS
  • Strong background in refurbishment, metal cladding, composite, single-ply roofing, and asbestos awareness
