Contract Manager - Fire Dampers

We are recruiting for a leading contractor operating within the fire protection market delivering projects up to £10m in value across a variety of sectors including Commercial, Student Accommodation, Hotels & Leisure, Social Housing, Healthcare, Education and Facilities Management.


Due to recent contract wins and continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join their Fire Dampers Division.


You will be a qualified and competent Senior Manager with solid experience in running a regional workforce delivering Fire Protection / Fire Damper projects.


With offices nationwide, this is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking, modern construction business, that genuinely cares about its people.


Duties:

  1. Full P&L responsibility of projects from receipt of order to final account stage
  2. Producing project site files, incorporating all relevant site documentation
  3. Application of project programme timescales, building the programme of works for production
  4. Assessment of all sub-contractor H&S documentation, including client employed contractors
  5. Preparation and collation of Principal Contractor H&S documentation
  6. External Stakeholder Management - Client site progress meetings with property team and project interested parties, safety consultants, designers, local authority, or property tenants
  7. Internal Stakeholder Management - Weekly labour and production review meetings reporting to the board and preparing senior management reports for weekly client SMT updates
  8. Cost Management, working alongside the assigned QS, monitoring the project lifecycle cost, engaging with the buyer to achieve cost-effective materials and sub-contract teams
  9. Scope Change Management, ensuring any additional works requested are costed, submitted for approval by the QS before being undertaken onsite
