Job summary

TechMet Ltd. in Belfast is seeking an experienced Contract Manager with a mechanical background to manage engineering and maintenance projects, liaise with internal and external customers, and coordinate sub-contractors.

The role focuses on monthly reporting, preparing project quotations, and working with service teams and client managers to ensure delivery. Ideal candidates will have a degree in mechanical engineering (or HNC/D) and at least five years in industrial project management; UK work

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience working with suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Industrial piping background and/or water treatment sector is ideal.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager with a mechanical background, who has experience dealing with both internal and external customers – including the management of sub-contractors. The role will be based in Belfast and not involved extensive travel so could appeal to a Contract Manager from Engineering Solutions background who wants to stay local to Belfast. Role is for individuals experienced within the Engineering sector and not in the construction sector

Key duties will include:

• Managing engineering and maintenance projects
• Responsible for monthly reporting
• Supporting the preparation of project quotations
• Liaising with Service teams and client managers – including sub-contractors

The Person:

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A degree in mechanical engineering or HNC/D with relevant experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in an industrial setting
• Experienced in working with suppliers and sub-contractors
• Industrial Piping background and/ or Water treatment sector ideal
