We are looking for a Contract Manager 4PL to be based at our site in Northampton, with the flexibility to work remotely up to three days per week, subject to operational requirements. Flexibility is essential, as you may need to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management
- Engage with key customer stakeholders to maintain existing relationships and create opportunities for further organic growth.
- Lead regular business reviews with customers, ensuring accurate information and understanding of remedial actions.
- Lead negotiations for contractual renewals and reviews.
- Serve as the escalation point for customer queries, managing them professionally and promptly.
- Collaborate internally to maintain relationships and share insights.
Financial & Legal- Oversee Profit & Loss for customer accounts, meeting budget targets.
- Manage financial data flows for management accounts.
- Approve costs and revenues, including purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure adherence to customer charging procedures.
- Implement profit-enhancing initiatives and seek cost savings.
Quality & Compliance- Ensure quality and compliance standards are upheld by the team and partners.
- Develop and implement best practices.
Operations- Collaborate to ensure delivery on quality, service, and cost.
- Act as an escalation point for service issues.
- Coordinate internal resources to exceed customer expectations.
Continuous Improvement- Own contract gainshare activities.
- Achieve contractual targets.
- Track and report improvement activities.
- Identify and pursue efficiency initiatives.
You will lead the management of a vital global pharmaceutical logistics contract, ensuring operational efficiency, customer service, and financial success. The role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills, effective communication, and a solution-focused approach.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive logistics management experience, preferably in a 3PL/4PL pharmaceutical environment.
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships.
- Experience managing P&L accounts.
- Desirable: Final mile logistics experience.
- Knowledge of customer and supplier relationship principles.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
