Position: Contract Manager
Location: Glasgow – Hybrid working between onsite and office based
Type: Permanent, Full time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 plus a commercial vehicle and fuel card
About the role
As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of contract service delivery at either branch or regional level. Your role includes supporting the General Manager in delivering high-quality services to client properties, including capital & programmed works, built environment, reactive, maintenance, compliance, or remedial works. You will ensure teams operate to Mears standards and deliver excellent customer service while meeting safety, quality, and cost control standards related to budget, profitability, and resource deployment.
- Manage all aspects of operational and commercial delivery
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Manage direct labour resources and supply chain, identifying opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency savings
- Complete company & client reporting protocols within required timescales
- Cultivate a positive, customer-focused culture across all activities via Mears Red Thread
- Achieve high customer satisfaction levels and meet contractual KPI targets
- Provide accurate reports to management as needed
Role Criteria
- Proven experience in capital/programmed works or repairs and maintenance management & delivery
- Strong commercial and performance management skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and contracts
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment
- Knowledge of contract/project management
- Building and maintaining a strong control environment
- Health & safety knowledge, including COSHH
- Full, current UK driving licence
Note: All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before employment begins. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
