Job summary

MAC Recruit Group Ltd in North East England is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee commercial management of supplier contracts for a portfolio of wind assets. You will lead negotiations, monitor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met within an operating wind energy environment.

This role requires wind sector experience, strong contract and procurement skills, and the ability to work closely with Operations, Finance and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• Wind sector experience is essential.
• Strong background in contract, commercial, procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience with third-party suppliers and contractors.
• Experience in operational, engineering or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of O&M, OEM, turbine or wind asset service contracts is advantageous.
• MCIPS, MRICS or a related qualification is advantageous.

Contract Manager – Wind Energy

North East England

We are recruiting for a Contract Manager to join a leading organisation operating within the renewable energy sector.

Working as part of the Asset Operations function, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of key suppliers, contracts and framework agreements supporting a significant portfolio of operational wind assets.

This position requires someone with previous professional experience within the wind sector, either onshore or offshore, alongside a strong background in contract, commercial, procurement or supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage key supplier contracts and framework agreements across operational wind assets
• Monitor supplier performance, KPIs and contractual obligations
• Manage commercial claims, disputes, variations, amendments and warranty claims
• Lead supplier meetings and commercial negotiations
• Manage contract administration, payments and cost reporting
• Support the management of O&M, OEM and service agreements
• Hold key suppliers and contractors accountable for contractual performance
• Identify opportunities to maximise commercial value from existing contracts
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, Legal and other internal stakeholders

Key Requirements

• Previous experience within the wind sector is essential, either onshore or offshore
• Strong background within contract management, commercial management, procurement, category management or supply chain
• Proven experience managing third-party suppliers and contractors
• Experience managing contracts within an operational, engineering or industrial environment
• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing claims, disputes, contractual changes and variations
• Good understanding of contract terms, cost control and supplier performance
• Experience with O&M, OEM, turbine, HV/electrical or wider wind asset service contracts would be highly advantageous
• MCIPS, MRICS or a relevant commercial/supply chain qualification would be advantageous

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial or supply chain professional with a wind-sector background to move into a key Contract Manager position supporting a substantial portfolio of operational renewable energy assets.
