Contract Manager – Utility Arb

Location: Field based across the Grantham, Lincolnshire, and the East Midlands

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Are you an experienced Contract Manager seeking a challenging yet rewarding role in the Utility Arboriculture sector? Join Ground Control, an award-winning environmental and landscaping business, as we expand our operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing contract performance to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Serving as the main client liaison, maintaining strong relationships and resolving issues.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Trainees.
  • Managing profit and loss, forecasting, and contract financials to meet revenue targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in managing general Arb, Forestry, and/or Grounds Maintenance / Horticulture contracts is essential.
  • Solid experience in contract management, financial management, and team leadership.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, GIS systems, Power BI, and contract management software.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills for client and stakeholder management.
  • An entrepreneurial and proactive approach to contract growth.

This is a field-based role across the Midlands, combining remote work and on-site presence.
