Purpose of the Job
  • Provide leadership, management, and development of a defined contract, ensuring operational and financial commitments are met and exceeded.
  • Key Responsibilities include:
  1. Preventative planned maintenance & follow-up remedial work for the engineering team
  2. Appraisals & recruitment
  3. Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) Process & Review
  4. Performance management, report writing & presentation
  5. Internal contract review reporting
  6. Training & Development
  7. Environmental, Health & Safety
  8. Operations meetings
  9. CBRE QHSE internal auditing & client auditing
  10. Providing a learning environment with appropriate training and development planning
  11. Ensuring employees are fully competent and can reach their full potential
  12. Providing leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to deliver best practices in selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward
  13. Maintaining a customer focus in all operational activities and fostering effective relationships with key client contacts
  14. Developing financial plans for revenue and profit, reducing WIP, debt, and costs, and driving contract growth
  15. Ensuring contractual commitments are met and exceeded
  16. Exploiting opportunities for strategic development to increase turnover and profitability
  17. Promoting health and safety policies across CBRE Managed services and subcontractors
  18. Optimizing staffing structures to balance cost and service excellence
  19. Supporting peaks and troughs in workload and disaster recovery planning
  20. Ensuring staffing by competent teams with effective succession planning
  21. Collaborating with other operational managers for business development and team support
  22. Maintaining control systems to meet statutory, policy, and contractual obligations
  23. Promoting CBRE's core values
  24. Approving small works quotations
  25. Managing internal tech/compliance audits and contractor quality management
  26. Scheduling the call-out system
  27. Managing project & small works processes and reviews
  28. Reviewing subcontract management
  29. Coordinating energy management with clients and contractors
  30. Favourable consideration for Approved Person HV/LV responsibilities
  31. Accountabilities
  • Reporting to the AGM/AD
  • Accountability to functional heads as appropriate
  • Responsibility to relevant client contacts for daily operations
  • Line management of the engineering team and contractors
  • Financial responsibility for delivering contractual plan commitments
