Purpose of the Job
- Provide leadership, management, and development of a defined contract, ensuring operational and financial commitments are met and exceeded.
- Key Responsibilities include:
- Preventative planned maintenance & follow-up remedial work for the engineering team
- Appraisals & recruitment
- Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) Process & Review
- Performance management, report writing & presentation
- Internal contract review reporting
- Training & Development
- Environmental, Health & Safety
- Operations meetings
- CBRE QHSE internal auditing & client auditing
- Providing a learning environment with appropriate training and development planning
- Ensuring employees are fully competent and can reach their full potential
- Providing leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to deliver best practices in selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward
- Maintaining a customer focus in all operational activities and fostering effective relationships with key client contacts
- Developing financial plans for revenue and profit, reducing WIP, debt, and costs, and driving contract growth
- Ensuring contractual commitments are met and exceeded
- Exploiting opportunities for strategic development to increase turnover and profitability
- Promoting health and safety policies across CBRE Managed services and subcontractors
- Optimizing staffing structures to balance cost and service excellence
- Supporting peaks and troughs in workload and disaster recovery planning
- Ensuring staffing by competent teams with effective succession planning
- Collaborating with other operational managers for business development and team support
- Maintaining control systems to meet statutory, policy, and contractual obligations
- Promoting CBRE's core values
- Approving small works quotations
- Managing internal tech/compliance audits and contractor quality management
- Scheduling the call-out system
- Managing project & small works processes and reviews
- Reviewing subcontract management
- Coordinating energy management with clients and contractors
- Favourable consideration for Approved Person HV/LV responsibilities
Accountabilities
- Reporting to the AGM/AD
- Accountability to functional heads as appropriate
- Responsibility to relevant client contacts for daily operations
- Line management of the engineering team and contractors
- Financial responsibility for delivering contractual plan commitments
