Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced contract operations professional to lead the management and service delivery of contracts. You will create and sustain cohesive teams, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and strong client interfacing to meet contract objectives.

The role requires formal technical education in mechanical/electrical disciplines, HNC level, and recognised accreditation. You will drive opportunities and uphold high standards within the regional business unit.

Qualifications

  • Formal technical education / qualification in Mechanical / Electrical or similar discipline.
  • Minimum of HNC level or equivalent.
  • Recognised professional accreditation (e.g., MIEE).
  • Sound technical knowledge of complex facilities and building services.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for the profitable and operational management and service delivery of Contracts to meet the business and contract objectives.
  • Create and sustain cohesive, cost-effective teams for the service delivery of the Contracts.
  • Interfacing with Clients to ensure the satisfactory service delivery of the contract deliverables.
  • Identify organic and new business opportunities.
  • As a member of the Regional Business Unit management team, contribute across all aspects of the Business Unit.

About The Role

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)

Job Purpose: Responsible and accountable for the profitable and operational management and service delivery of Contracts to meet the business and contract objectives. Create and sustain cohesive, cost-effective teams for the service delivery of the Contracts. Interfacing with Clients to ensure the satisfactory service delivery of the contract deliverables. Identify organic and new business opportunities. As a member of the Regional Business Unit management team, make a broad and powerful contribution across all aspects of the Business Unit.

Essential Criteria
  • Formal technical education / qualification in Mechanical / Electrical or similar discipline to a
  • Minimum of HNC level or equivalent;
  • Recognised professional accreditation (e.g., MIEE);
  • Sound technical knowledge of complex facilities and building services;
  • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a highly effective and compelling manner;
  • Highly organised;
  • Can demonstrate excellent contract management capability and pro-active attitude;
  • Able to work under pressure, adhere to tight guidelines and work under own initiative;
  • Leads by example and encourages the team to create solutions that go beyond the
  • immediate needs to add value to the customer and business.
  • Facilitates co-operation and team thinking between team members.
  • Openly and honestly expresses views and encourages others to do the same.
  • Develops the team’s capability, a compelling motivator through giving constructive
  • feedback, coaching and mentoring.
  • Measures performance of the team in areas of productivity, quality and delivery for both
  • internal and external customers.

Desirable
  • Excellent computer / IT skills and proven knowledge of CAFM systems.
  • Extensivesector experience at a management level
  • Up to date and sound knowledge of industry best practices and developments in operational and facilities management;
