Lead Commercial Strategy in UK Fibre Delivery - Join Circet UK

Circet UK is seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Contract Manager to oversee the contractual and financial performance of our nationwide fibre network build projects. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Regional/Contract Director, with full responsibility for ensuring commercial success, compliance, and risk management across a major portfolio of infrastructure contracts.

You'll be at the forefront of managing multi-million-pound delivery programmes, guiding contract strategy, leading negotiations, and embedding a safety-first culture across all commercial operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the commercial delivery of fibre build projects valued up to £50 million
  • Manage the full lifecycle of contracts - from tender and mobilisation to project close-out
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontract agreements to ensure favourable terms
  • Monitor contract performance, identify risk, and drive continuous improvement in commercial processes
  • Oversee cost control, budget forecasting, and revenue recognition across multiple workstreams
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Delivery teams to ensure full contractual compliance and risk mitigation
  • Champion health & safety integration in all commercial agreements and strategies
  • Represent Circet in senior-level discussions with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the commercial performance of subcontractors, ensuring alignment with main contract obligations
  • Provide commercial reports, strategic advice, and decision support to the executive team


What You'll Need
Experience

  • 8-10+ years' experience in contract/commercial management, including 3-5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven success managing complex infrastructure contracts, ideally in telecoms or civil engineering
  • Strong knowledge of UK telecoms regulations, contract forms, and risk management practices


Skills & Attributes

  • Exceptional commercial acumen with strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence, lead, and resolve complex issues
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to contractual detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience engaging C-suite stakeholders and clients
  • Proficiency in ERP and contract management systems
  • Technical awareness of fibre network build lifecycles and delivery processes


Qualifications & Certifications

  • RICS, CIPS, or equivalent commercial/contract management certification (preferred)
  • Health & Safety certifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH) (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
