Job description

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a national housing developer with an excellent reputation and build quality standard based within the Hampshire area. They cover areas across the South West Region, in particular Exeter, Devon and other local surrounding areas. The company has really grown over the last few years and they currently have new sites starting throughout 2025 and 2026. They seek an experienced contract manager to join the business on a permanent basis, ideally looking to start from April 2025.


You will be employed on a permanent basis as a contract manager, with the salary ranging between £85k-£90k p/a + package DOE. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Working closely with the surveying and buying team
  2. Ordering materials
  3. Customer liaison
  4. Chairing meetings
  5. Ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
  6. Overseeing 4 sites to start with
  7. Looking at cost-effective methods to minimise spending to budget
  8. Negotiating contracts
  9. Day-to-day running of the site to ensure site team are supported

You must have relevant experience within housing as a contract manager. You must be organised, have strong communication skills, and be highly pro-active in your work ethic. They are looking for somebody who is a strong leader, takes ownership, takes pride in quality that they build, and is confident when dealing with clients or stakeholders. You must have relevant management qualifications to be considered for this role. They are looking for somebody who is hungry, driven, and has a proven track record of success and delivery of high standards to budgets and deadlines throughout their career.
