About the Role:

The Contracts Manager will oversee multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high standards. They will work closely with the Managing Director, Estimator, QS, and Buyer from project award to completion, managing the process effectively, efficiently, and safely.

Responsibilities:

Pre-construction:

• Pre-planning projects to ensure adequate resources
• Appointing designers, reviewing and approving drawings
• Agreeing prices with subcontractors
• Producing construction methodologies and tender programmes
• Reviewing profit plans with the QS
• Completing material and plant requisitions
• Ensuring timely material orders to meet schedules
• Completing RAMS and submitting to clients

Construction:

• Coordinating and managing site labour
• Quality control
• Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards
• Producing and tracking construction programmes
• Managing subcontractors
• Working with QS to manage costs and changes
• Reviewing forecasts for labour, plant, and materials
• Closing out snagging and defect issues promptly

About the candidate:

• Experience in roofing & cladding project management and site management
• Knowledge of relevant regulations
• Customer-facing experience and client relationship skills
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental safety requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• SMSTS qualification preferred
• CSCS certification
• Full clean driving license
• NVQ level 6 or equivalent in construction or related discipline preferred but not essential
