Job summary

A leading manufacturing business based near Deeside seeks a Contract Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to ensure the smooth operation of their facilities. The successful candidate will perform scheduled maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, and train operational staff, ensuring high standards of machine maintenance. This role comes with a competitive hourly rate of £40 and is ideal for those with a completed engineering apprenticeship and skills in food processing equipment.

Qualifications

  • Ideally completed Timeserved engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience with Food, Meat Slicing and Thermoforming equipment beneficial.
  • Excellent communicator with planning and organizing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing process by responding to equipment breakdowns.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance work and proactive corrections.
  • Train operational team members on minor maintenance tasks.

gap technical are proud to be representing this market leading manufacturing business in their search for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Deeside


Performance Objectives



  • To support the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults.

  • To respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to their nominated production area

  • To fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines historic / information documentation

  • To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them

  • To train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and to assist in major repairs

  • Ensuring that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.

  • Pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department.


Person Specification



  • The successful candidate will ideally of completed a Timeserved engineering apprenticeship

  • Experience with Food, Meat Slicing and Thermoforming equipment will be a distinct advantage.

  • You must be an excellent communicator and be able to plan and organise efficiently.
