Contract Logistics & Customer Service Manager

We're working on behalf of a leading global logistics provider to recruit an experienced
Customer Service & Office Manager for their multi-user contract logistics site in
Stanford-le-Hope. This is a key leadership role that blends operational office management with hands-on customer service delivery across multiple client accounts.
You'll lead a small team while overseeing day-to-day office functions, financial admin, procurement, and customer engagement. If you enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same, this could be an excellent fit.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Management:
- Be the main point of contact for clients, handling service queries, escalations, and ongoing liaison
- Lead and support the Customer Service and Admin team (currently 2 x CS, 1 x Admin)
- Maintain service excellence by implementing and monitoring client-facing procedures
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently
Office & Administration Management
- Manage the smooth running of the office: ordering supplies, maintaining equipment (e.g. printers, coffee machines), and working with contractors
- Oversee basic finance tasks: petty cash, invoicing, budget tracking, and liaison with finance teams
- Maintain clear records of office activities and compliance documentation (QEHS)
- Support audits and ensure all policies and practices meet safety and quality standards
- Coordinate holiday planning and ensure appropriate cover during staff absences
- Manage stock levels and oversee procurement for office and canteen supplies
What We're Looking For
- Proven team leadership experience in a customer service or office management role, within contract logistics
- Confident managing both customer relationships and internal office operations
- Financial admin experience (invoicing, petty cash, supplier management)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a compliance-focused environment (QEHS awareness is a plus)
- IT proficiency, including MS Office and digital filing systems
- Ability to prioritise, multitask, and proactively manage a busy workload
