Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead complex manufacturing and engineering projects. You will manage cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering/R&D, and quality to ensure milestones and gates are met while maintaining budget and performance targets.

The role requires a technical background in engineering or R&D, strong influencing and presentation skills, and proficiency with MS Project.

Overview

Contract Project Manager – Engineering / Manufacturing. Long contract, 6-12 months. Opportunity for a motivated Engineering Project Manager experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects of varying sizes and complexity within a team of bright, multi-disciplined engineers.

As Project Manager, you will work with multi-disciplined teams across manufacturing, engineering/R&D, supply chain, and quality to ensure milestones are met at each key gate or stage. You will be accountable for the technical performance of projects from planning and control, through coordination of teams, process and efficiency improvements, safety and reliability, and procedural adherence.

You will ensure key budget, milestone, and performance targets are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing complex manufacturing projects within a production/engineering environment.
• First-class influencing and presentation skills – high visibility role.
• Technical background in engineering and/or R&D.
• Background in project managing within the engineering sector.
• Experience with Microsoft Project / MS Project.
• Prince2, APMP or similar project management expertise desirable.
