Contract Facilities Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager with prior experience within a manufacturing / production environment to undertake a key role overseeing site maintenance and facilities functions whilst also ensuring compliance, efficiency, and exceptional workplace standards.

As Facilities Manager your responsibility will include the entire site services portfolio from buildings to services in addition to maintenance spanning manufacturing / industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities as Facilities Manager:

  • Management of site services and facilities including security, fire–alarms, general fabric of building, statutory regulations and related areas
  • Overseeing Health & Safety and Environmental legislation is complied with ensuring all statutory H&S requirements are fully met
  • Management of all records for basic utilities such as compressed air, vacuum, water, chilled water extraction etc
  • Manage reactive and planned maintenance schedules as required
  • Directly supervise employees in the Maintenance / facilities department.
  • Budgets, forecasting and maintaining expenditure within agreed parameters
  • Logging maintenance work and maintaining historical records in a logical manner
  • Liaising with contractors for repairs, installations and alterations where appropriate
  • Advise and be part of implementation process to address new legislation
  • Continuous monitoring of all risk assessments, and to carry out risk assessments in accordance with legislation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations

To succeed as Facilities Manager you will ideally have:

  • Proven Facilities / Facilities & Maintenance experience in manufacturing / production environment
  • Planned preventative maintenance expertise
  • Experience of a range of standards this may include LOLER, COSHH, Working at Height IOSH also highly advantageous
  • Technical understanding of building systems and equipment
