Purpose of the Role

As a Fabrication Contracts Engineer, you will manage multiple fabrication packages across clean and wastewater projects, including fabricated pipework and access metalwork. You’ll oversee works from inception through to completion using a mix of site installation, in-house design, and workshop personnel, ensuring delivery to time, quality, and cost expectations.

Key Accountabilities

You will:

Manage individual contracts safely and profitably from design to completion

Liaise with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver successful outcomes

Attend internal/external reviews, progress meetings, Teams calls, and site visits

Produce key project documents (RAMS, job cards, ITPs, as-built records, CE documentation, etc.)

Ensure contract compliance with legislation, standards, and company procedures

Support estimation and quotation activities for future works

Monitor and manage H&S on site

Control and report on budgets, variations, and final accounts

About You

You will have:

A background in fabrication, engineering or mechanical works

Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site contracting environment

Excellent communication and time management skills

Strong commercial and contractual awareness

Competency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project planning tools

The ability to build strong internal and external relationships

A positive, resilient, and proactive approach to problem solving
