Job summary

Valoris Group is recruiting two experienced Commercial Electricians for a major refurbishment programme across three schools in Hartlepool.

The role involves commercial electrical installation works supporting heating, plant room and renewable energy systems. Candidates should have previous experience with heating controls, plant room electrics or mechanical systems and be able to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Valid ECS or CSCS card
• Strong commercial electrical experience
• Experience with heating controls, plant room electrics or mechanical systems
• Own tools and appropriate PPE
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Willingness to complete the required DBS checks

Responsibilities

• Completing commercial electrical installation works
• Wiring heating systems, pumps, valves and plant room equipment
• Supporting air source heat pump and renewable energy installations
• Completing containment, cabling, wiring and terminations
• Working within school plant rooms and boiler room environments
• Reading electrical drawings and technical specifications
• Testing installations and identifying electrical faults
• Working alongside Heating Engineers and site management
• Ensuring work complies with current electrical regulations
• Maintaining high health and safety standards across all sites

Location: Hartlepool
Contract Length: Approximately 6 weeks
Positions Available: 2 Electricians
Start Date: School holiday period
Hours: Potential for extended hours or shift work
Rate: Negotiable depending on experience

Candidates should have previous experience working with commercial heating electrics, plant rooms, boiler rooms, heat pumps or similar mechanical and electrical environments.

Desirable Experience

• Air source heat pump electrical installations
• Solar PV or renewable energy installations
• Commercial heating controls
• Plant room and boiler room electrical systems
• School or public-sector refurbishment projects
• Inspection and testing qualifications

An Enhanced DBS is preferred due to the work taking place across school sites. Selected candidates may initially complete a standard DBS, with an Enhanced DBS completed where required before pupils return.

Extended working days or shift patterns may be available to help keep the project on programme.
